You will notice that, instead of linking to the page for the single, the song titles link to their respective lyrics pages. This practice should be applied throughout the wiki with concern to most track listings. An exception is to be made for compilation albums. For compilation albums, the tracks should link to the original work that a song was found on. For example, a collected version of "LOVE IS DEAD" would link to The 7th Blues instead of LOVE IS DEAD (Lyrics). For an application of this, please see B'z The Best XXV 1999-2012.

Revision as of 12:17, 26 December 2015

This page is a repository for guidelines on what is expected of articles within the site. Do note that some pages are considerably older than others and may not yet be revised to this standard but certainly will be in time.

Model articles

The current model articles that are completed and may be consulted to ensure compliance with the guidelines of the wiki are:

Linking and formatting of titles

Singles are to be mentioned like a normal title, with quotation marks included. As in, there is no difference between "Freedom Train" and "Ai no Bakudan" as far as formatting goes. However, "Freedom Train" is of course redirected to MAGIC since it is an album song, while "Ai no Bakudan" will primarily go to its page as a single, instead of being redirected to THE CIRCLE, apart from special instances.

Album titles are to be italicized in all instances, such as with RUN. In some cases, it may be both bolded and italicized depending on the context.

Specific video release titles are to be italicized as well, like with B'z LIVE-GYM Hidden Pleasure ~Typhoon No.20~.

LIVE-GYM and SHOWCASE titles are to be left as-is, such as with B'z LIVE-GYM '93 "RUN".

Track listings and linking to lyrics pages

The only instances in which an article will link to a song's lyrics page instead of its usual destination is in a track listing for a studio album, single, etc. For example, let us take a look at the related section from the page for "Sayonara Kizu Darake no Hibi yo":

  1. Sayonara Kizu Darake no Hibi yoGoodbye, Painful Days, さよなら傷だらけの日々よ
File:s48 01.ogg With Pepsi's new ad slogan "GO NEXT!" in mind, the track is about leaving an old life behind to begin a new one. It also marked the very first occasion in which B'z wrote a song specifically for a commercial.
  2. Dawn Runner
File:s48 02.ogg Originally entitled "The Runner", the song is an outtake from the ACTION sessions. Tak decided to rename the song after looking over the cover for the single itself. "Dawn Runner" was chosen for inclusion here by the band in order to create a well-balanced single.

Setlists and DVD listings

For setlists, the song titles are to be linked to the nearest single or album instead of to the lyrics page in question. For example, if we take B'z LIVE-GYM 2012 -Into Free- into account:
