ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2017 was a music festival headlined by B'z that played out over two weekends in August. The event, which took place at Hitachi Seaside Park in Ibaraki Prefecture, began August 5 and 6 and continued August 11 and 12 with many of Japan's best-known rock acts as well as a number of newcomers taking part, with the band performing on the first day of the festival. The show was preceded chronologically by B'z SHOWCASE 2017 -B'z In Your Town- and followed by another music festival appearance at RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL 2017 in EZO.
Performances of "Still Alive" and "ultra soul" were broadcast on premium music channel WOWOW in September in Japan. Later, the full show was released on home video as part of limited edition copies of the band's twentieth studio album DINOSAUR.
