SUMMER SONIC 09 was the 2009 installment of the annual Japanese music festival SUMMER SONIC. Among the list of artists performing was B'z, who performed in both Tokyo and Osaka for the joint festival events. Other artists performing over the three dates included Beyonce, Linkin Park, Paramore, and Nine Inch Nails.

Footage from the B'z performances of "Ichibu to Zenbu", "DIVE", and "MY LONELY TOWN" at the event can be seen on the band's 2009 documentary Magical Backstage Tour 2009 that was released as a bonus DVD in limited edition copies of the year's album, MAGIC.
